Cherry barbs are easy to keep. No special aquarium requirements as they are a hardy fish.

Diet
Tropical flake is recommended for the Cherry Barb, supplemented with live or frozen food occasionally.

Compatibility
Cherry barbs are ideal for community aquariums together with peaceful fish of a similar size.

Breeding
Moderate. Cherry Barbs need good water conditions in order to spawn. A good filter and air pump are recommended. Males are bright red where females are more orange.

Life Span
Cherry Barbs can live to anything from 1-3 years in perfect conditions.
